Tabatha A. Yeatts
SUMMER WRITING CLUB 2007This summer, Tabatha is holding a free online writing club for young people (up to age 18). Once a week for eight weeks, club members receive fun writing prompts to inspire them, challenge them, and improve their writing skills. Members who complete at least five out of the eight writing exercises can choose their favorite to appear in the Summer Writing Club electronic magazine. They will also be entered in a raffle for an online book store certificate. Members who complete at least seven out of the eight exercises can choose two of their favorite writings to appear in the e-zine, and they can enter two tickets in the raffle. ***THE FIRST EXERCISE!*** Consider this picture:
YOUR CHALLENGE: Write a poem or story inspired by this picture, but that's not all...your challenge is to have one of the main characters of your story/poem start out seeming to be good and turn out to be bad or vice versa (start out seeming bad and turn out to be good). Can't wait to see what you write! The second exercise will arrive in members' e-mailboxes on June 22nd.
